Our client, a Boutique Investment Bank based on Long Island, has a full time opening for a Full-Stack Developer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in .NET, SQL, and web technologies (ASP.NET Web Forms).This person will be building web and console-based software products that encompass both client and server development. They look for people who are self-directing, love learning and enjoys collaborating on tough challenges with smart people working out of their Huntington, Long Island office. Candidate should have a deep understanding of the software development life cycle and the ability to implement industry best practices for stability, performance, scalability and maintainability.
Responsibilities:- Writing code independently and collaboratively
- Maintain quality of products by understanding business processes and thorough testing
- Specifying required functions, methods and events
- Debugging and troubleshooting of all programs
- Developing applications based on functional designs
- Identifying and communicating technical problems/solutions
- Maintaining internal/external web applications
- Code reviews emphasizing quality and coding standards
Required Qualifications:- Strong VB.Net, Bootstrap, CSS, JQuery and JavaScript development experience. C# a plus
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server queries, scripting, stored procedures, relational design key relationships
- Solid understanding of both object-oriented and procedural programming
- Excellent debugging and communication skills
- Hands-on experience with client and server technologies including APIs and Web Services
- Experience with database driven websites, financial/accounting applications a plus
- Experience with Microsoft development tools, VSS, Visual Studio
- DevExpress and SAP Crystal Reports experience a plus
- Work well with the team to solve problems effectively and efficiently
- Performs well under stress while maintaining attention to detail
- Good math and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to fluid deadlines and priorities
- Independently manage assigned tasks
- Ability to interact in a consistent, professional manner with application user teams
- BS/BA/MS in Computer/Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent
