Salary: $114,500 - 204,000 per year Requirements:

• I require a Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• I expect hands-on experience and knowledge of Cyber Engineering with a concentration on database security.
• I need hands-on experience with database and file encryption technologies (preferably Thales CipherTrust or Vormetric).
• I am looking for hands-on experience and knowledge with system design, administration, and security.
• I require hands-on experience with database activity monitoring (preferably Guardium or Imperva).
• An understanding of data inventory management (preferably BigID) is essential.
• I seek a strong team player who can communicate effectively and show leadership among teams of knowledgeable specialists and engineers.
• Experience supporting technical teams in a supportive role is necessary.
• I need candidates with experience working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Proficient and professional verbal and written communication skills, including group training, are essential.

Responsibilities:

• I will provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members supporting technologies in the area of focus.
• I will offer technical assistance for data encryption solutions and projects.
• I will guide efforts for data inventory management solutions and projects.
• I will provide technical guidance for Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) solutions and projects.
• I will evaluate technical solutions in response to business challenges.
• I will provide thought leadership to support continuous improvements and service maturation.
• I will present technical solutions as needed for knowledge sharing and acceptance.
• I will provide project support and status reporting.
• I will establish and maintain system documentation.
• I will represent changes in CAB meetings.
• I will present new solutions and architectures in ARB meetings.
• I will collaborate with partnering teams in support of solution development and deployment.

I am looking for a Cyber Security Engineer IV for Data Security Services, focusing on database security, such as HSM management, encryption, data inventory management, and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM). The right candidate for this role will be a self-starter who can serve as a technical lead, provide project management oversight, and deliver hands-on support within their areas of focus.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in a hybrid position that requires two days a week in the office (Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL). Travel is minimal, limited to less than 5%.
