Business Office Coordinator II Location Dallas, TX (Oak Cliff area) :

The Business Office Coordinator II (non-supervisory) role is to manage the day to day operational flow of the business office and medical records department in a high volume unit or multiple locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures excellent customer service and customer friendly environment.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment in cooperation of with the Facilities staff and Business Manager.
  • Maintains confidentiality and HIPPA compliance within region.
  • Participates in Center meetings.
  • Implements policies, procedures and processes as directed by the Business Operations Director.
  • Coordinates with program managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative paperwork.
  • Ensures accurate and timely creation of purchase & work orders for assigned sites as needed.
  • Acts as IT liaison to facilitate computer and telephone needs for assigned sites.
  • Manages bad debt for DDP Division.
  • Identifies and reports potential billing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures including government, insurance, and third-party payer regulations/contractual requirements.
  • Detects and documents operational shortcomings and offers solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or other health related field preferred or High School Diploma with 3 to 4 years in a business office role.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to work with reports and numbers.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to utilize Internet for resources.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment.
  • Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Centers liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Must have an acceptable driving record.
